RMBIO's Newborn Bovine Calf Serum (NBS) is a high-quality supplement for use in a variety of cell culture media. NBS can serve as a low-cost alternative to FBS while providing many of the same nutrients. NBS is manufactured and processed according to the highest standards and is carefully monitored to ensure product safety and performance. Heat inactivating NBS helps protect against growth inhibiting immune factors like serum complement that may be present in the serum. RMBIO's NBS is heat inactivated at 56°C for 30 minutes. The average endotoxin level is < 2 EU/ml and the average hemoglobin level is < 20 mg/dl. All lots of NBS are of US origin, are 9CFR tested, and 0.2 um filtered. Product should be stored at ± -10° C.
