Labconco Purifier® Logic®+ Biological Safety Cabinets, Class II, Type A2
The Purifier Logic+ Class II A2 Biosafety Cabinet excels in user comfort and functionality. Decades of industry leading advances in ergonomic design have shaped the Inclination™ Technology Suite that includes the following: 10° angled sash, patented curved air grille with built in armrest, fully accessible controls and eye-level mounted color display with MyLogic™ operating system.
MyLogic provides intuitive programming, color coded menus, status messages and alarms with diagnostic troubleshooting, all using clear messages and imagery. Using ECM blower technology, the Logic+ uses the Constant Airflow Profile™ (CAP) to maintain a precise volume of air as the filters load. In addition, the cabinet will continuously display the HEPA filter life remaining and cabinet status. These features combine to provide unparalleled safety.
These biocabinets provide excellent protection to personnel, product and environment. They are suitable for work in all levels of biosafety. Labconco's biological safety cabinets will discharge HEPA-filtered exhaust air directly into the laboratory or, if preferred, into an exhaust system through the optional Canopy Connection. Some models have optional base stands and/or an accessory packages (such as UV light, service fixture(s) and Vacu-Pass™ Cord and Cable Portal.)
A2 BioSafety Cabinets feature approximately 30% exhausted air and 70% recirculated air.
The room air is drawn into inlet grille. Air in the plenum beneath the work surface is a mix of unfiltered room air, and air from the work area. The blower draws this contaminated air through the back plenum of the cabinet, where approximately 70% of the air is recirculated through the supply HEPA filter and back over work area. The remaining air is discharged to the environment after passing through exhaust HEPA filter.

Cell Logic®+ Class II Biosafety Cabinet models
Cell Logic+ models are designed with sensitive microscopy in mind. Options for integrated viewing, vibration and temperature control that keeps you happy, and your cells happy. Similar to standard A2 models but include the following special features for specialized work: Temp-Zone, Scope-Ready.
Accessory Options:
- Telescoping base stand with fixed feet: No or Yes: Adjustable legs allow for height adjustment during installation. Includes shelf. Unassembled. Provides working height of 30" - 37".
- Standard Accessory Package: No or Yes. Includes:
- Service Fixture Right-side mounted factory-installed ball-type valve supplies water, vacuum, air or noble gases to cabinet interior. Serrated tip with quarter turn handle is mounted 8.5" (20 cm) above the work surface to maximize usable surface area. Max 40 psi. (One right-hand service fixture on 3', 4', and 5' models, or two - one on each side - for 6' models.)
- UV lamp with timer, for secondary decontamination while cabinet is not in use. Safety switch permits operation only when sash is completely closed. 254 nm. (Not included with Scope-Ready package.)
- Vacu-Pass Cord & Cable Portal Negative pressure port allows passage of a cable through right-side wall. NSF approved.
- Cell Logic+ Packages can be added to a standard model: None, Temp-Zone, Scope-Ready, or both Temp-Zone + Scope-Ready.
- Scope-Ready™ Package Enhances comfort and performance when using a microscope in the cabinet.

- Temp-Zone™ Package. Creates a temperature-controlled area on your work surface for sensitive cells. Works with a user-supplied circulator to maintain uniform surface temperature. Easy-Clean™ Prop Rods elevate work surface for hands-free cleaning. 10.5" w x 12.0" d (7.0" x 12.0" on 3' models) .
- Ventus Canopy Connection for thimble exhausting Type A2 cabinets. Canopy provides air gap allowing room air to enter the duct-work and mix with the filtered air being exhausted to the outside. Detects insufficient exhaust in less than one second and signals LCD to show an alarm. Alarm increases motor to maximum speed for personal safety. Adds only 1.25" to cabinet height. Powder-coated steel. Collar is 10" (25.4 cm) ID.

Airflow stability with CAP.
Constant Airflow Profile (CAP) monitors and maintains ECM airflow. Speed and torque are constantly adjusted to keep airflow within 1% of original calibration. CAP outperforms differential pressure gauges and airflow sensors. How? Gauges and sensors require manual adjustment by a certifier when a decline in airflow is detected. A certifier can only verify safe airflow for a single moment in time. With CAP, safe airflow is assured all the time.
Safety.
The Logic+ goes beyond the current conventional Biosafety Cabinet (BSC) standards. A line-of-sight display for feedback on your cabinet's safe operation while seated. A filter life display instead of confusing pressure readings. Alerts and alarm messages are shown in full sentences.
Performance.
