Lactalbumin, otherwise known as “whey protein,” is the albumin that is composed in milk and obtained from whey. There are two subcategories of lactalbumin commonly referred to as alpha and beta lactalbumins which are both contained in milk often found in many mammals. Studies suggest that certain types of lactalbumin can increase levels of glutathione in animals while also improving their immune responsiveness. 

Lactalbumin Hydrolysate, found in the milk of several mammals, is the albumin obtained from whey; there are both beta and alpha lactalbumins. Ungraded products supplied by Spectrum are indicative of a grade suitable for general industrial use or research purposes and typically are not suitable for human consumption or therapeutic use.
