Hydriodic Acid, 55 Percent (DEA List I Chemical), Reagent, ACS is an aqueous solution of hydriodic acid used as one of the primary sources of iodine and as a reducing agent in organic and inorganic synthesis. It is also a DEA List I Chemical. As an ACS grade Reagent, Spectrum Chemical manufactured compounds are used as the quality standard against which other substances are graded and has met the toughest regulatory standards for quality and pureness.
