Description
Free Fall Apparatus, Advanced 'G' Kit, for Studying Gravity, Aluminum Extrusion Column with Scale, Electromagnet, Rods and Clamps. This apparatus is designed for studying acceleration by gravity. A steel ball is suspended with an electromagnet, which when turned off, plummets toward the platform on to a landing pad. During its descent (or "free fall"), the only force acting on the ball is the force of gravity. This apparatus allows the small drag from air resistance on the steel to be measured. Included in this kit: Aluminum Extrusion Column with Scale, metal base, freefall sphere, ball receiver, electromagnet, and rods and clamps for attaching photogates on the column. Required but not included: Eisco® Digital Timer with Photogates (PHGST), DC Power supply (the procedure requires 1-2V) and 2 long, banana terminal leads (PH1055EF)
Column with scale measures 47" tall. Eisco® proudly manufactures its products on state-of-the-art equipment with high quality control standards.
Each product is carefully designed by a team of laboratory professionals and experienced engineers with quality and durability in mind. They are manufactured with only the highest grade raw materials and according to international quality standards to ensure that they can withstand use in even the toughest laboratory environments.
