How to Measure Your Glove Size
To determine the size needed, use a dressmaker's cloth tape to measure around the hand, above the thumb and below the fingers. The diameter of the hand (rounded up to the nearest half inch) is numerically equal to the worker's average glove size: For example, 7.25 - 8 inches around equals a size 8 glove (Size Medium)
An alternative way of measuring is to wrap a strip of paper around the hand, mark the length with a pen, and then flatten the paper so you can use an ordinary ruler to measure the distance. (If you use a metric tape to measure, divide centimeters by 2.5 to get inches.)
