Secondary Containment

Secondary Containment

It is a federal requirement that all chemical waste containers be further protected through use of a secondary container. EPA Compliant secondary spill containment systems must hold at least 100% of the volume of the primary container or 10% of the total volume if multiple containers are used. For maximum safety, select a secondary container that holds at least 10% more than the largest bottle, carboy or drum you intend to use it with.  Read about EPA Regulations and Secondary Containment Requirements
