Description

Air Operated Lower Drain Valve, Stainless Steel Shaft, Complete with Air Control Panel. This air operated, flush bottom drain valve fits our reactors from 10 to 50 liters that have a 2” beaded pipe connection. This valve is perfect for applications where solvent extractions or partitioning are done after a reaction. Due to the constant spring tension on the plunger, the valve is excellent for use during low temperature reactions where standard valves need constant tightening to prevent leakage. The valve is held closed against the bottom of the reactor via spring force and is opened by air pressure. A second regulator is used to supply 4 psi of air pressure as a safety back-up to the spring. The wetted portion of the valve consists of a PTFE plunger tip and drain valve body. Perfluoro O-rings and a choice of either 316L stainless steel or Hastelloy® shaft. The air control panel can be mounted anywhere on the reactor using a CG-9253 Universal Kwik Klamp. Complete valve kit is supplied with two regulators, mounting bracket and all Tubing and fittings needed for hook up. A secondary ball valve kit is available. This kit will allow for emergency shut-off of the reactor contents in the unlikely event of valve failure. Control Panel Factory preset regulators Valve is operated by turning the handle to the open and close positions Valve opens and closes quickly and easily Panel can be mounted outside of hood  Bottom Valve 3/4” compression fitting on outlet of drain PTFE nose and housing with choice of 316L stainless or Hastelloy® shaft Fits existing 2” beaded pipe drain  ** 3" Detachable Drain Size Can be Quoted As A Custom.
