Norit Premium Rox 0.8 Activated Carbon is high grade acid washed extruded carbon. Norit® ROX 0.8 is processed to generate many low-volume pores that increases the surface area available for absorption or chemical reactions. Because of its huge degree of micro-porosity, one gram can have up to 1000 m² of surface area. Activated charcoal has many uses including gas purification, decaffeination, gold purification, metal extraction, water purification, medicine, sewage treatment, air filters, gas masks, and respirators along with filters in compressed air tanks. Ungraded products supplied by Spectrum are indicative of a grade suitable for general industrial use or research purposes and typically are not suitable for human consumption or therapeutic use.
