The 50" High-Efficiency Fume Hood provides a primary engineering control for compounding nonsterile hazardous drug preparations. This system features redundant HEPA filters and meets USP 800 regulations for nonsterile HD compounding. The fume hood’s powerful fan draws particles, aerosols, and gases from HDs into the filtration system, removes most of the contaminants from the airflow, and releases the filtered air back into the surrounding room. The ductless design removes the need for makeup air and external ductwork saving on installation costs.
