Graduated V-Vial, 1 mL, 13-425 Open Top Hole Caps1mL Graduated Type I Borosilicate Glass V-Vials, 13-425 Solid Top O/T Cap. V-Vials feature a smooth and clear bottom instead of a rough ground bottom. Grinding has been eliminated from their manufacturing, to reduce the chance for particulates entering the vial. These exceptionally sturdy vials have a conical interior bottom that allows for maximum retrieval of content by syringe or micropipette.
V Vials can be used for small-scale reactions, centrifugation, storage and shipping. Clear V Vials are manufactured from 33 low extractable borosilicate glass that conforms to ASTM Type I, Class A and USP Type I requirements to safeguard against a change in product pH caused by alkali, which can be extracted by ordinary glass. Amber V Vials are manufactured from 320 low extractable borosilicate glass that conforms to ASTM Type I, Class B and USP Type I requirements. V-Vials are used for small-scale reactions with WHEATON® Micro Kit. They are also used in the biochemical, pharmaceutical and radiochemical industries.
Additional applications and techniques for using WHEATON® V-Vials include anaerobic reactions; derivatization; micro mixing; catalytic hydrogenation; extraction; packaging; centrifugation; homogenization; radiosynthesis; concentration; and hybridization.
Kit performs all the functions of a standard taper kit on a true microscale. Simplifies many Organic techniques and is helpful in synthesis and the study of reaction mechanisms. Disposable vials can be used for reaction vessels. Components are assembled with grease-free, screw- threaded WHEATON® Connections. All caps have open tops and PTFE faced septa for maximum versatility. Flask sizes range from 1mL to 10mL. Graduated V Vials with interior conical bottoms are included for reaction and collection vessels. The 1mL V Vial is graduated at the 0.1mL level. The compact design of WHEATON® grease-free, microscale apparatus makes it possible to join components on a desktop. FKM #O# rings are included in the kit for gas inlet tubes or thermometers. Components hold themselves together requiring minimal clamping.
